Law of Attraction

It I bought this book Law of Attraction by Michael J Losier a couple of days ago at a warehouse book sale. Have been meaning to get it for awhile so when it was at such a bargain price, I grabbed it. There were only 2 copies left! I have read ‘the secret’ before and I thought this would just be about the same thing -Law of Attraction. But once after speed reading through it, I realised that ‘the secret’ was the ‘what’ and this book is the ‘how to’.
Sometimes we forget when we are thinking about our problems that we face - eg lots of debt, not enough money, recession etc…we are actually attracting those very things by thinking about it. So now, everytime a doubt pops up, or a negative feeling surfaces…this is what Michael asks us to ask ourselves - ‘So, what do I want?‘ That gets us thinking about what we want and if we put the words to what we want, this is what we will attract to ourselves, hence ‘the law of attraction’!

It won’t be easy initially (trust me, I’m still learning and sometimes the negative statements tend to wash over me)…but when you get into the habit of asking ‘so what do I want?‘ then you refocus your mind to what you really want in life - for me it is debt free, having an abundance of money, being financially free and so on.

Of course, when you think about it, with a limited income, how do you actually finally pay off your debt? In the book, he talks a lot about giving what you desire enough attention, energy and focus until you attract it. If at the moment I still can’t figure out how I’m going to pay off my debt in the coming year…he says, belief in the fact that ‘lots can happen’…I might get a raise tomorrow, or someone will drop me a check…you just never know, but you must have faith, not doubts. Let the ‘Law of Attraction’ figure it out!

Ok…i will keep reading the book and start filling up the worksheets he has set out…in my quest to be financially free. I will keep you posted!

Financial Freedom - Is it really possible?

I went to school, studied hard, got a good job…you’ve heard the story before…yes, my parents were from the Industrial era, so that was all they knew and instilled in me. Unfortunately I got caught up in the rat race…I didn’t realise it was a rat race…I always thought it was part of life…get married, have a good job, spend 1 hour in the traffic jam to get to work and another to get back…that’s until I heard the word ‘financial freedom’…from reading Robert Kiyosaki’s ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’.
He says in his book how there is 4 quadrants - the Employee, the Self-Employed, the Business Owner and the Investor. The only way to achieve financial freedom is to be a Business Owner or as an Investor. That was when I had my “aha” moment and I have never looked back since. Read the rest of this entry »

Making money online - why am I doing it?

I am a working mum with 3 kids - my eldest, a girl, is on the autistic spectrum. I homeschool my girl for 1 and a half hours before I go to work, and if I’m not tired another 1 and half hours after I get back. Even then I wish I had more time to spare for her:(…and for my other 2 boys. I have been looking for ways to replace my J.O.B for the past few years. My hubby has a more stressful J.O.B.which leaves him even less spare time and between the both of our incomes, we just manage to survive.
But why making money online? Trust me, we have done it all - set up a brick and mortar business and even went into Multi Level Marketing, not just one, but I joined many companies. In those days my expenses always exceeded my income and I was getting sick and tired of it.
